Tower Crane Operators control tower cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment. Tower crane operators work in the heavy industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.

Pathways to Certification
- Trade Experience
If you already have experience – whether in Canada or internationally – you may be able to challenge the trade qualifier exam and become certified.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work at significant heights in all weather conditions
- Work on commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Work closely with riggers, signalers, supervisors and construction crews.
- Travel to large construction projects and remote work locations
- Follow lifting, rigging and safety procedures at all times
