Become a Mobile Crane Operator

Mobile Crane Operators use a cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment. They perform pre-operational inspections, calculate crane capacities, determines load weight, and set-up, positions and stabilize the crane before the lift. They also disassemble, travel and transport mobile cranes.

If you already have experience – whether in Canada or internationally – you may be able to challenge the trade qualifier exam and become certified.
Working Conditions
- Work closely with riggers, trades professionals, contractors and site personnel
- Perform most work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Travel between job sites and work in diverse industries and locations
- Follow lifting, rigging and safety procedures at all times
- Work at heights
