They use computer-controlled machines to meet production and quality requirements while working safely in forest environments. Harvesters also perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently in challenging terrain and conditions.
A Forest Equipment Operator (Forwarder) operates mechanized equipment to load, transport, sort, and unload logs from the forest to roadside. They use articulated machines to work safely and efficiently over challenging terrain while meeting production requirements. Forwarders also perform routine maintenance and inspections to keep equipment operating reliably in demanding conditions.
