Appliance Service Technicians help keep household appliances running. They repair and service household and commercial appliances. They work for repair shops, appliance service companies, and repair departments of retail and wholesale businesses, or they may be self-employed.

Working Conditions
- Work in customer homes, repair shops and service centres

- Travel between service calls using company or service vehicles
- Use diagnostic tools, testing equipment and specialized hand tools
- Perform physical work involving lifting, bending and kneeling
- Follow safety procedures around electricity, gas, refrigerants and moving parts
