- Trade Experience
If you already have experience – whether in Canada or internationally – you may be able to challenge the trade qualifier exam and become certified.
Working Conditions
- Work in homes, businesses, institutions and industrial facilities
- Install and service low-voltage security and communication systems
- Use computers, testing equipment and electronic diagnostic tools
- Work indoors and occasionally outdoors at customer locations
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and other tradespeople
- Follow electrical, safety and security standards and regulations
