On February 28 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Woodlawn Public Library, there will be an event in celebration of the first graduates - those who recently achieved trade certification in the Black Beauty Culture Hair Innovator (BBCHI) trade. The event will provide an opportunity for guests to explore the intercultural and generational connections of Black hair in Nova Scotia and will celebrate the achievements of hair innovators with a Black beauty culture hair show, the Black Beauty Culture Awards and a graduation ceremony. Everyone is welcome.
