Engaging Employers in Apprenticeship: From October 20th to 29th, 2014
Apprenticeship Agency Update Events were held at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) campuses all across the province. Employers, industry stakeholders and Apprenticeship staff attended these events, which provided opportunities for individuals to network with colleagues, hear about the Apprenticeship Agency's progress and help us identify how to better engage employers in the Apprenticeship and Trades Certification System.
On February 26, 2014, more than 180 industry representatives, training stakeholders and government members came together to hear about the changes to Nova Scotia’s Apprenticeship System, and provided feedback on the priorities for the Agency. The top 3 priorities for the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency were identified and the following presentation topics were delivered:
- Current Apprenticeship System
- New Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency
- Results of the Employer Survey for the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency
