NEW: Apprenticeship Management System (AMS) IS NOW AVAILABLE
NSAA has now launched the Apprenticeship Management System (AMS) to provide a faster, easier, and more transparent way for apprentices and employers to manage apprenticeship activity.
For Apprentices, Apprenticeship Management System will allow you to:
- Register and manage your profile online
- Track your progress and skill sign-offs
- Schedule exams and receive updates—all in one place
For Employers, with Apprenticeship Management System, you will be able to:
- Register apprentices and monitor progress more efficiently
- Access records and updates whenever you need them
For Tradespersons
Your launch of Apprenticeship Management System will be following a phased approach and be ready to use in the coming months. Watch for more communication on when to expect the benefits of Apprenticeship Management System to be ready for you!

FOR EMPLOYERS & APPRENTICES
First Time Sign In Information
Follow the steps below to sign in for the first time.
▶ Access Apprenticeship Management System via the following link.
Don’t have a Client ID/Account yet:
- Click GET STARTED and follow prompts to create your AMS self-serve account. Create a username. Recommendation is to use your email address.
Already have a Client ID/Account:
- Enter username and click “Forgot Password”.
- For existing clients (apprentices or journeypersons), the username will be the previously used Client ID number (example: 20XXXXX)
- The temporary password will be emailed to the email address that we have on file.
- NOTE: Please check all email addresses for the temporary password (work and personal and junk mail folder). If an email is not received, please contact NSAA for further assistance.
- Type in username and temporary password, then click SIGN IN.
- The system will prompt for a permanent password upon initial sign in.
- Once the new password has been created and saved, login using your Client ID number and the newly created permanent password.
- Upon initial login, please visit “My Profile” in the left menu to ensure user information is correct. Also, please visit “My Progress” and review your information here. If you notice any errors and missing information, please notify NSAA for correction.
ADDITIONAL STEPS FOR EMPLOYERS
- Select your Employer Administrator.
- Have them create a Self-Serve AMS account using the steps above.
Note: If they are an existing NSAA client and will also be acting as the Employer Admin for your company, they will have an account already created. They will not need to create a new employer administrator account. Process to the next step. - Once complete, submit their details via this Employer Administration Set up Form
Employer Administration for AMS NS Apprenticeship - Our internal team will complete your set up and notify the Administrator once completed.
Please note, this is a one-time setup to begin using AMS. Once your Employer Administrator is identified, you’ll be able to manage any future updates directly. Please do not add any detail for Journeypersons as we will be phasing this group as users to AMS at a later date.

No renewals are required as of October 7, 2025. The Agency will begin issuing credentials without expiry dates in October, and it will continue for 12 months as credentials expire. For more information, visit Eliminating Renewals for Skilled Trades.
